Rescue Small Business Relief Program

DETAILS:
Grants of up to $5,000 to USA tribal business owners who have been financially impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding may be used for business expenses and recovery-related expenses such as PPE, supplies, work-related gear, and inventory. Eligible business owners must be enrolled with Tlingit & Haida at the time of submittal.
Funds must be used by the applicant only to pay the following COVID-19 emergency related expenses (see list of eligible expenses below). Only those eligible expenses incurred after January 1, 2023, or reasonably expected to be incurred by December 29, 2023, are eligible for payment. Funds must be expended in compliance with federal law.
Payroll costs and expenses
Payment of short term (< 24 months) or
Credit card debt incurred by the applicant
To pay eligible business expenses
Rent (a percentage based upon your IRS 1040, Form 8829 for home-based business) or 100% of commercial leased space
Utilities payments
Purchase of personal protective equipment required by the business
Business related equipment
Expenses incurred to replenish inventory or other necessary re-opening expenses
ELIGIBILITY:
Tribal citizens who are small business owners and have been impacted by COVID-19 are eligible to apply.
All tribal citizens, residing in the USA, are eligible to apply to receive support from these programs.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be enrolled with Tlingit & Haida at time of submittal, or they do not qualify.
Must be 50% owner of the small business.
Must have 50 employees or less.
Business must be actively managed by tribal citizen.
Business must be located in the United States.
Application Requirements:
Must be a licensed business prior to January 1, 2023.
Must provide legible and valid business receipts dated between January 1, 2023- December 29, 2023.
